Anna is the Clinical Director & Lead Physiotherapist at Animated Physiotherapy. She graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in 2009, and gained experience both in the NHS and working for private practices before opening the Animated Physio studio in 2019. She qualified as an APPI Certified Pilates instructor over 10 years ago, and after starting a class for her NHS colleagues with bad backs, expanded to taking numerous classes in local village halls before taking the leap and opening her own studio.
Anna has more recently gained passion in treating women’s health conditions, after lots of her friends had babies then seeing them struggle to get the help and advice they needed to help their core and pelvic floor recover through the NHS. She is a certified MummyMOT practitioner, Menopause Movement practitioner, and has also completed her POGP urinary incontinence course to help women of all ages with their pelvic floor function. She has also completed additional pre and post natal Pilates and physio training.
She is a keen swimmer and triathlete, competing for the GB Age Group Triathlon team in the European Championships in Glasgow, August 2018, completing Ironman Zurich in 2019, and swimming for the GB Master’s team at international level in Kazan, Russia, August 2015. She took up CrossFit in 2020, and found that this has helped her become even stronger at swimming! She also loves skiing and travelling. She has been injured herself, undergoing many physio treatments and even surgery for a hip and hamstrings issue, so understands how frustrating and debilitating being injured can be. Anna is passionate about sport & exercise, and so understands the importance of timely and effective rehabilitation for a quick return to sport.
She currently takes numerous Pilates classes at our premises, The Barn, in Billericay. She also has private Pilates, physiotherapy and MummyMOT sessions available which can be booked at our Billericay premises.
